Please think of adopting a rescue. Taking on a young puppy is very time involved and many people working full time do not have the time to house brake and train a puppy correctly. Please consider an adult rescue. They are usually housebroken and trained and ready to enjoy their company. Puppies are wonderful and cute but remember they grow quickly often 80 + lbs. by 9 months old. A puppy also needs lots of training and involvement. If you are not at a stage of your life where a puppy would fit due to time constraints, please consider the companionship of an adult Rottweiler. Rottweilers are loyal guardians and bond quickly and totally with a loving owner and their family.

Please think about your time constraints and consider a Rescue if you are uncertain you have time for a young puppy.

Remember only the best Rottweiler temperaments make it into rescue and most have been one of many that were picked because they were of superiour temperament and deserving of a second chance.

Please think of a Rescued Rottweiler or other breed. They make the best companions and they are grateful for their second chances.

Foxy needs a home!

Foxy is a Wildhaven puppy out of our Cagan x KC Feb. 2009 litter who recently came back to us. She is 11 months old and wonderfully housebroken, crate trained, trained and socialized with other dogs. She has a pronounced limp on her front leg, which we are trying to find out if it is an injury to her elbow or shoulder, but as you can see she plays and runs like a 11 month old puppy. She may need some extra care to get her healed through this, but still needs time and exercise.

She is a lively, and loving girl with energy and a happy attitude. She would do very well with another dog or dogs, and probably best with older children and people who are experienced with large dogs or Rottweilers would do best, as she still wants to jump a bit when she is excited. She is over 80 lbs and will probably end up around 90 to 100 lbs. She would do best in a fenced in yard, so she can use up her energy. Because of her injury she will not be a candidate for someone who wants to hike and jog with her, but that should be possible after she heals up.

If you are interested in hearing more about Foxy please feel free to contact us at Wildhaven. She is being fostered with us and will stay with us until the right forever home comes along. She will be spayed and sold as a loving companion/pet.

This is Hope, a 2 yr. old Jack Russel mix who is looking for a special home.

Hope needs a special home!

No you are not seeing wrong, this is Hope, our Jack Russell mix rescue, a 2 year old spayed female who thinks she is a Rottweiler and runs the household and plays with 8 other Rottweilers here at Wildhaven. She is very smart, very much a terrier breed who thinks she is boss, so needs a home with other dogs who will be tolerant and owners who understand the Terrier temperament. She has high energy, loves children and needs a fenced in yard and another dog(s) to help her burn off her lively energy. She would be a great agility dog, as she runs like a whipet and jumps like a deer.

But she loves to cuddle in the end of the day (after burning up that energy and tiring out a couple of Rottweilers) and is a great couch companion. She is house and crate trained, and up to date on her shots and spayed.

If you think Hope might be an addition to your home please contact us.
